Today I was inspired and challenged by a book I read almost every morning “Commanding
your morning” by Cindy Trimm on the fact that we, particularly women, are scared to dream
big and probably stretch our imagination to greater heights. We set sub-standard goals that
do not necessarily pose a challenge in our lives. Could this be because we doubt our ability?
Daily we quote a scripture that says “I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me
strength.” Philippians 4:13. Do we doubt the very Christ? Is our faith tasked severely?
When Barak Obama assumed office as the president of the United States of American, he
came up with a powerful and catchy slogan “YES YOU CAN” and that is exactly what I wish to
communicate to you today. You can be a wife, mother, aunt, business leader, professional &
student and still be a great WOMAN. You are not less capable because of your feminine state.
Maybe some of us are discouraged to even dream or imagine big because of where we
come from. Our backgrounds have become our greatest hold. Sometimes we become our
very prophets of fate; we speak no progress in our lives. Your past does not have to determine your future. If you have been disadvantaged in the past, let that be your driving force in accomplishing great. You can achieve whatever you set your mind and heart on, with the propelling power of the great God.
I believe whatever we feed our minds and souls with will flourish in the outside. Dream and
imagine big; you will attain great in your life. Disregard all the negativity in and around you.
Just dream and allow your imagination to take you to unbounded heights!
